Painted Nails

Is this a sign of having too much time?
Pippi's feet are very multi colored!
Now my goats can prance about in STYLE!
All my goats got Pedicures yesterday! It looked best on Pippi cause she's got the lighter colored "toes". With the dark goats the polish barely shows.

Dairy Day

Larissa from Tiny Hill Farm and I went over to the Farmer's Museum in Milton for their Dairy day. We brought four goats, three generations... Tilly's momma, Varla, Tilly, and Tilly's two babies. It was neat.
A happy little family! Wait, where's Leia? I see her!
Leibchen loves the new hay feeder!
 Watch Out! Here comes Grandma!

We got show goat pictures of the babies! Just for fun!

We did a milking demonstration, not very many people were as interested in it as I thought would be. We milked Tilly and Varla.
Larissa also had some of her chicks with us. I'd tell you what breeds but the only ones I remember is turkeys and silkies....and that the chickens are four dollars each and the turkeys are eight, and she hatched them out at home.
Sorry, that's all the info I've got...check her web site for more, the link is above.

I brought Leibchen and Leia over to see the two driving horses, Leia was a little scared of them, especially the one that kept nudging her in the face! But Leibchen had a funny bonding with them! They kept smelling and nosing each other, it was funny.

It was a fun day! And a great way, I think, for people to become aware of Larissa's farm and the things she's selling.  The weather stayed nice for us too. About an hour after we got home it started thundering and down pouring! A Huge Storm....And hail! I'm just glad the weather waited for us. It was a nice day, I think we both had fun....Or should I say all six of us had fun! Though the babies were really tired afterwards, It was a big day for them!

Before and After - ANNIKA

Before
This before picture has a Faye butt in it.

Before and After - LEIA

This before picture is really bad and old to...Though the after picture is neat- my little show goat!

Before and After - LEIBCHEN

Sorry these before pictures are terrible, And she was really old in them...
I think you need to see both sides of her! It's insane, Most of the white spots were dark brown and she was light brown half way down! And her dorsal stripe is missing.

Before and After - TILLY

Before
 And after
This is the best after picture though Leibchen is a little in the way!

Before and after - PIPPI

I do think these pictures make her look fluffier than she was because I took these before she lost her winter coat. So she looks really fluffy!
And after!

Before and After - FAYE

I posted two pictures of after because her head wasn't in the one that showed her body best.
Can you believe it's the same goat!?

Shaved Goats

We got all the goats clipped for the summer. It will make Tilly's cart training easier in multiple ways. The harness will no longer pull at her fur and she will be a lot cooler. She gets so hot in the summer. Now I have pictures of them clipped but I completely forgot to take before pictures so I will just pull up some old ones. I only remembered to take "in the process" pictures of Faye.

Faye
I put the milking stand in a bush so they could eat to occupy themselves! Get's their mind off the clipping!
Don't you just LOVE my milking stand!? It was my Birthday present from my grand mother! It's AWESOME!!!!
I was very surprised when I shaved the buckskins...They completely changed colors! All those white spots onLeibchen were dark brown! The same thing happened with Faye witch you'll be able to see in the before and after pictures- I'll post those in their own posts. it will make it easier on my part.
